New Airbus ‘Beluga’ cargo aircraft for transporting plane parts has an adorably friendly image – NTD Inspired
This week, the Airbus BelugaXL rolled down the tarmac and took off from France’s Toulouse-Blagnac Airport for the very first time. The massive aircraft is capable of taking off with a total weight of 227 tons; that’s nearly one-and-half times as heavy as the largest recorded blue whale—an apt comparison, given the Airbus’ noticeable resemblance with the marine mammal. With a cute smile painted onto the nose and its bulging cargo space above the cockpit, we can see why they call it “beluga.” LOWP…
